Being "green" doesn't have to be a daunting task that means sweeping life changes. Remember simple things can make a big difference:
1. CHANGE YOUR BULBS
If every household replaced one regular light bulb with one of those new compact fluorescent bulbs or even better with LED bulb, the pollution reduction would be equivalent to removing one million cars from the road.
2. TURN OFF COMPUTERS AND ALL "STAND BY" ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AT NIGHT
By turning off instead of leaving it in sleep mode, you can save up to 50 watt-hours per day. Remember If you don't want to wait for your computer to boots up, set it to turn on automatically, or boot up while you're cleaning your teeth.
There are millions of newspapers printed each day in the world. Recycling them you could save more than half a million trees every week.
Don't throw away your used clothes but think about if someone else might need it yet. Donate them to a charity organization or call us and we collect them from you.
